In this hands-on class you will learn the secrets of longevity through the lens of Ikaria, one of the world’s most celebrated Blue Zones - a Greek island where people routinely live past 90 in remarkable health, vitality, and joy.
Together we will cook a selection of traditional Ikarian dishes - simple, plant-rich recipes built around seasonal vegetables, legumes, wild herbs, and good olive oil. As we cook, we will explore the Ikarian way of life: the daily rituals, the food philosophy, and the community practices that researchers believe hold the key to a long and happy life.
You will leave with recipe cards, a deeper understanding of what it means to eat and live well, and a shared meal to savour before you go. This class includes morning tea on arrival, a shared longevity-inspired lunch featuring the dishes we have cooked together, and a glass of wine.
Remember to bring an apron to the class if you like to wear one!
